Kawa Kawa located about 112km northeast of Kota Kinabalu, is accessible in an hour and a half by land. Situated at Kota Belud and surrounded by paddy fields and mangrove forests, the quaint little village of Kawa Kawa is enchanting at first sight.
Sungai Tempasuk thrives along Nanamun / Kawa Kawa’s mangrove habitat forming an enticing playground for the Proboscis Monkeys, who swing on the high branches of the trees. This natural oasis, little touched by men and commercial tourism, has not lost its primitive wildness, and is best suited for nature and wildlife lovers.

Outskirt hotels pick up & drop off surcharge
- Additional charges of MYR 30.00 per pax per way are chargeable for outskirt hotels pick-ups. Outskirt charges applicable for hotels outside of Kota Kinabalu city area. Outskirt pick up will be 2 hours earlier (Subject to available)
- Kota Kinabalu Outskirt Hotels, like Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort, Nexus Karambunai, Borneo Beach Villa, Putatan town, Beringgis Beach Resort, Langkah Syabas, Szhnn Vacation Apartment, or places that not in the same route will have to take Grab or Taxi to town area to wait as the route are different.
Responsibilities guidelines
- In the case of schedule changes or cancellation due to traffic, weather or other force major, Travel Operator have the right to alter routes, timetables, itineraries and accommodation reserved should conditions beyond our control render it necessary.
- If ATV activity cannot be carried out due to various factors on the day, a refund of Adult: RM150/pax, Child: Rm100/pax. Refunds will not be granted if travelers decide not to par-take in the activity due to private reason.
- If Fireflies River Cruise activity cannot be carried out due to various factors on the day, a refund of Adult: RM50/pax, Child: Rm30/pax. Refunds will not be granted if travelers decide not to par-take in the activity due to private reason.
- If ATV + Fireflies River Cruise cannot be carried out due to various factors on the day, a refund of Adult: RM200/pax, Child: Rm130pax. Refunds will not be granted if travelers decide not to par-take in the activity due to private reason.
- Any cancellation due to flight delays, illnesses, emergencies, etc. shall be able to apply for a full refund. However, sufficient evidence must be provided to prove that it is not a malicious cancellation of the trip.
- Every guests are compulsory to participate in the guide's explanation and follow all instructions/arrangements based on the itinerary in order to ensure tour can be commenced smoothly.
- Each guest must also complete and sign a waiver of liability form prior to the tour.
- Activities are required to sign a disclaimer form. If the guest does not agree to sign, the guest will not be able to proceed with the tour. No refund will be entertained.
- Whether or not to cancel the trip shall be decided solely by the ATV operators after weighing the situation of the day, and the decision will be final, any objections will not be entertained.
- For uncontrollable circumstances, such as: earthquakes, floods, riots, coups, road conditions, wind direction and speed, weather and other factors that may endanger the safety of tourists, Travel Operator reserves the right to amend the itinerary, date, route, meal, tour guide, time and other matters without prior notice.
- ATV- Person with heart disease, high blood pressure, fear of heights, pregnant, recent surgery and weight over 130kg are not recommended to participate.
- Attention to double ride ATV: the maximum load of each ATV is only 130 kg.
- The time schedule of the itinerary may be varied, the aforementioned above is only for reference purposes.
- Sit-In-Coach basis (SIC). This tour is not a private tour, you will share the trip with other guests come from different countries.
- Request Private Charter 6 – 10 seater Vehicle, additional MYR300.00/vehicle. Kindly inform us before the tour commence.
- Kindly apologize if pick up time late due to festival or peak season or each Hotel guests’ preparation.
- Please wait at lobby 10 minutes before pick up time while the tour guide will find you when he/she arrived.
- We are following “On-time Policy” to considerate with other guests. Transportation will not wait for late arrivals at the 2nd confirmed Pick-Up Time schedule given. No refund will be compensated.
- Customers are encouraged to purchase their own travel insurance before traveling to Borneo. We recommend you to select a travel insurance policy that covers not only your medical expenses (including emergency repatriation) but also personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage. Doing so can prevent major disruptions and additional costs. We strongly encourage our customers to choose packages wisely, prioritize your safety first as life is priceless.

Cancellation & Amendment Policies
- Free cancellation 7 days before the tour commence.
- Less than 7 days or no show, full 100% charges.
- Any cancellation within 24 hours from the tour date is regarded as "Last Minute Cancellation" or "No Show" will be 100% chargeable.
- Amendment to booking after payment has been made is subject to approval and will be charge at a minimum of MYR150 per service amendment.
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances, making it impossible to conduct the tour, we reserve the right to change to another tour or cancel the tour at our absolute discretion. In such eventuality, no resource or claims shall be made against us.
