During the Advanced Adventurer Program, you will try out 5 different specialties. You will complete one open water training dive per specialty after a comprehensive briefing with your SSI Instructor.
With this trial program in specialty diving, you will have total freedom to explore. You can complete the full specialty programs any time in the future and credit your Advanced Adventurer training towards them.

HOW TO GET THERE

Route A: If you are NOT staying at Shangri-la Tanjung Aru Resort & SPA
- Take a Grab/Taxi to STAR Marina Jetty, Shangri-la Tanjung Aru Resort & SPA
- At the map provided, you will notice there is a “Tourist Entrance Gate”. There is no signboard but take a walk to the STAR Marina Jetty and you will notice our SSI Instructor is waiting there.
Route B: If you are staying at Shangri-la Tanjung Aru Resort & SPA
- From your room, take a walk straight to the STAR Marina Jetty and you will notice our SSI Instructor is waiting there.

Responsibilities guidelines

In the case of schedule changes or cancellation due to traffic, weather or other force major, Travel Operator have the right to alter routes, timetables, itineraries and accommodation reserved should conditions beyond our control render it necessary.
Kindly prepare your digital passport picture for registration.
Patients of following diseases are RESTRICTED to participate the Diving adventure: hypertension, heart disease, asthma, epilepsy, pregnant woman.
If Participants have recurring medical history and insist to take the Diving Course or Diving, then they have to get the Doctor’s Letter of Consent but still subject to our decision approval.
If the Participants are unable to complete the Course or require skills within the stipulated course duration, an extra course of MYR300/pax/day/2 dives will be incurred.
All guests will be required to sign a Liability/Release Form (Waiver) before or upon arrival and abide by all diving and safety rules of the resort. No diving or snorkeling activities will be permitted until the said form is signed and witnessed.
Smoking is not permitted, except in the designated smoking areas. Please refrain from any other acts that could cause a fire in your room or anywhere in the Lodges. Smoking in a non-smoking guest room will result in charges to the occupying Guest for cleaning or replacement of bedding, curtains, wallpaper and so on, as well as the cost of repairing any damage.
Liability Release Form MUST be understood and signed by the participant before the tour and activities commerce.
Alcohol consumption during your dive or trip is NOT RECOMMENDED.
Participants are refrain from touching and teasing turtles, marine life and corals reef. Anyone refraining will sit out the next diving or snorkeling.
While the jellyfish season varies, it usually occurs during mid of the year or/and end of the year. Do be extra careful and inform our guides should you be stung. Jelly bugs are common in the waters but they are usually harmless and their stings will just cause some slight itch.
Request Private Charter 6 – 10 Seater Vehicle, additional MYR300.00/vehicle. Kindly inform us before the tour commence.
For this Tour because is sit-in Coach basis. When finish tour we do not provide airport transfer.
Customers are encouraged to purchase their own travel insurance before traveling to Borneo. We recommend you to select a travel insurance policy that covers not only your medical expenses (including emergency repatriation) but also personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage. Doing so can prevent major disruptions and additional costs. We strongly encourage our customers to choose packages wisely, prioritize your safety first as life is priceless.
